1 Killed in Car Accident on Alfred Harrell Highway near Panorama Drive in Bakersfield
Bakersfield, California (April 20, 2021) – One person died after a police chase in Bakersfield on Tuesday morning ended in crash.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 2:30 a.m. on Alfred Harrell Highway near Panorama Drive.
The police were attempting a traffic stop on Fairfax Road with a white truck when the motorist failed to stop and drove to Panorama Drive.
The vehicle then turned onto Alfred Harrell Highway where the driver lost control and rolled down a hillside. The vehicle overturned several times, ejecting the driver.
The unidentified driver died at the scene of the accident.
A female passenger in the vehicle was hospitalized with moderate injuries.
