Woman Killed in Madera County Crash on Avenue 9 near Road 33 ½
Madera County, California (July 8, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday afternoon traffic accident that killed a woman in her 50s in Madera County.
The deadly accident occurred at about 5:00 p.m., on July 7, on Avenue 9, east of Road 33 ½.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a man in a Toyota Tacoma was headed westbound on Avenue 9 when, for an unknown reason, he veered to the left and crashed into a car in front which ended up hitting a vehicle in front of it.
Following the collision, the Tacoma crashed into the eastbound lane, where it collided head-on with the woman in a Nissan

Sadly, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Everyone else involved in the accident sustained minor injuries and were not hospitalized.
Intoxication was not suspected of having played a role in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
