7 Injured in Lower Lake Crash on Highway 29 at Point Lakeview Road

Lower Lake, California (February 18, 2021) – Seven people were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday afternoon in Lower Lake, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident occurred at about 2:50 p.m. on Highway 29 at Point Lakeview Road.
Three vehicles collided under unclear circumstances, leaving one of them blocking the roadway.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and confirmed that major injuries were sustained in the crash with a total of seven patients. The extent of injuries of each victim remained unknown.
An unknown number of the patients were transported to the hospital.
Animal Control Unit was requested to take a small K9 that was in one of the vehicles and whose driver was to be taken to the hospital.
Three tow trucks were needed to remove the vehicles from the scene.
All traffic lanes remained blocked for an unknown duration following the incident.
CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
