5 Hurt, 3 Hospitalized after Chula Vista Car Crash on Palomar Street at Santa Olivia Road
Chula Vista, California (February 17, 2021) – Five people were injured when two vehicles collided head-on and crashed into two other cars in the Otay Ranch area of Chula Vista Wednesday evening, according to a local news source.
The accident was reported shortly before 5:30 p.m. on Palomar Street at Santa Olivia Road.
Authorities said a black BMW SUV was heading westbound on Palomar Street at a high rate of speed when it collided with several other vehicles.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated two people from their vehicles.
The freed victims and another person were taken to nearby trauma centers with non-life-threatening injuries. Two other people were hurt but declined transportation to the hospital.
It is undetermined if intoxication played a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
