Los Angeles, California (July 25, 2020) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle late Thursday night on a freeway in Los Angeles, according to a local news source.
The fatal crash happened at about 11:18 p.m. Thursday, July 23, on State Route 110 Freeway near 6th Street.
Authorities said the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle in the northbound lanes of State Route 110 Freeway.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the pedestrian lying down in the traffic lanes.
The pedestrian was declared dead at the scene of the accident. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
The crash remains under investigation.
