Los Angeles, California (November 5, 2020) – One person was killed early Thursday morning in a traffic accident on 101 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles, according to a local news source.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the deadly crash, which was reported at around 4:15 a.m., happened in the northbound lane of 101 Freeway near Alameda Street.
There were no details about what led up to the accident.
The CHP said one person was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the victim was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
Authorities shut down all northbound lanes of the 101 Freeway at Alameda as they investigated the crash.
