Lawrence Keithly Killed in Lancaster Collision on State Route 138 near 163rd Street East
Lancaster, California (February 5, 2019) – Lawrence Keithly died in a car collision that occurred Sunday night on State Route 138 in Lancaster, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The fatal crash occurred at about 6:45 p.m. near 163rd Street East.
The crash happened when Keithly, who was driving a PT Cruiser west on the highway, veered onto the shoulder for unknown reasons, and then overcorrected and crossed into the eastbound lanes where he crashed head-on into a Honda CRV.
Keithly, a 54-year-old Vista man, died in the collision.
The driver and passenger of the Honda suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
