Oxnard, California (January 24, 2019) – 75-year-old Kathleen Elo of Oxnard and her small dog were killed in a train accident Thursday afternoon in the area of Oxnard, according to a local news source.

The accident happened at around 1:22 p.m. Thursday on Gonzales Road, just east of Oxnard Boulevard.

As per the report, Elo and her small dog were walking eastbound on the north sidewalk of Gonzales Road when they were hit by a northbound Amtrak passenger train as it crossed Gonzales Road.

Responding emergency crews declared Elo and her dog dead at the scene.

None of the train passengers were injured in the collision.
