Jeremy Smith ID’d as Castaic man Injured in Castaic Crash at Oak Valley Road and The Old Road
Castaic, California (January 29, 2021) – Jeremy Smith, of Castaic, has been identified as the man who was injured in a traffic accident that killed a 31-year-old Castaic man, according to a local news report.
The crash was reported just before 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, January 23, near Oak Valley Road and The Old Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the officials arrived at the scene and found an overturned blue Chevrolet truck. How the crash occurred is yet to be established.
The truck was found by an individual riding a dirt bike nearby, who heard cries of distress emanating from the vehicle, the officials said.

Sadly, Benjamin Marquez IV, 31, of Castaic, who was in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Smith suffered major injuries, including two broken legs and suspected head trauma. He was flown to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment.
Initial reports also indicate that the crash may have transpired on Thursday, January 21.
The crash remains under investigation.
