Man Killed in 2-Vehicle Rollover Crash on Highway 99 in Fresno

Fresno, California (January 29, 2021) – A man was killed in a rollover crash that left three other parties injured on Friday evening in Fresno, authorities said.

The deadly two-vehicle accident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on Highway 99, north of Fresno Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a Lincoln pickup truck driven by the man and another vehicle were headed north when they collided in unclear circumstances.

Following the collision, the pickup truck reportedly struck the right shoulder and flipped over. The male driver was ejected from the vehicle.

Man Killed, 3 Injured in Highway 99 Crash

Sadly, the male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the truck and the driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries in the accident.

It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the mishap.

Highway 99 from Fresno Street to the Highway 41 connector was closed due to the collision.

The crash remains under investigation.
