Jack Slemmer Seriously Injured in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 101 in Templeton

Templeton, California (September 11, 2020) – Jack Anthony Slemmer, 31, has been identified as the motorcyclist who was seriously injured in a traffic accident on Friday morning in Atascadero, Templeton, authorities said.

At about 9:20 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the major injury crash on Highway 101 near the San Anselmo overpass.

The CHP said Slemmer was traveling southbound on the highway on his 2001 Harley-Davidson Super Glide Sport motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he experienced a high-speed wobble and lost control of the bike.

The motorcycle reportedly went down, and Slemmer was ejected from the bike onto the highway’s fast lane.

Slemmer was hospitalized with major injuries.

More details about the accident were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
