Isis Jones Killed in Sacramento Hit-And-Run Crash on Florin Road
Isis Jones ID’d as 16-Year-Old Girl Struck and Killed by Vehicle on Florin Road and Fawn Way in Sacramento

Sacramento, California (July 11, 2021) – The Sacramento County Coroner’s Bureau has identified the 16-year-old girl who died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Thursday night in south Sacramento as Isis Jones, 16.
The fatal crash occurred shortly before 10:30 p.m. Thursday, July 8, in the area of Florin Road and Fawn Way.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Jones was trying to cross the intersection of Florin Road and Fawn Way when she first stepped in front of a car that was traveling in the number one lane. That driver was able to stop in time.
Jones was then hit by another vehicle that was traveling in the number two lane. She was thrown onto the roadway by the impact of the collision.
16-Year-Old Girl Killed in Sacramento Pedestrian Accident Identified
Jones sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The driver involved fled the scene. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a grey, 2002-2004 Mercedes C Class.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the collision. Anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is encouraged to call the CHP- South Sacramento area.
