Holly Giles Seriously Hurt in Pinole Crash on I-80
Pinole, California (June 3, 2021) – Holly Giles was seriously injured when a tire came off a car and struck several vehicles in Pinole on Monday afternoon, according to the authorities.
An SUV traveling in the westbound lanes of I-80 lost one of its tires near Appian Way for unknown reasons.
The tire went across the lanes of traffic and ended up in the eastbound side, where it struck an eastbound vehicle.

The tire then bounced back and forth across the lanes of traffic and collided with three other vehicles.
One of the three vehicles, which was being driven by Giles, sustained major damage.
Giles, who is the assistant principal of San Francisco’s Lowell High School, was transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
The incident is under investigation.
