Half Moon Bay, CA: 1 Seriously Injured in Traffic Crash on Highway 1
3 Hurt, 1 Seriously in Half Moon Bay Accident on Highway 1 near Tunitas Creek Road
Half Moon Bay, California (June 19, 2020) – One person was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision that happened Friday on a highway in Half Moon Bay, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck took place just before noon in the northbound lanes of Highway 1, also known as Cabrillo Highway, just north of Tunitas Creek Road.
The accident involved a Toyota pickup truck and a Jaguar. The vehicles were blocking both northbound and southbound lanes after the crash.
Cabrillo Highway Crash in Half Moon Bay
Three people were injured in the crash. One of the victims was taken to Stanford Hospital with a laceration to the face. The other two sustained minor injuries.
Officers closed Highway 1 in both directions for about an hour following the collision.
CHP is investigating the cause of the crash.
