Case Estorco Arrested After Haight Ashbury Pedestrian Accident at Haight and Ashbury Streets

Haight Ashbury, California (February 26, 2020) – According to San Francisco Examiner, two pedestrians were struck and injured by a vehicle on Monday night in Haight Ashbury.
The pedestrian collision took place at about 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of Haight and Ashbury streets
According to a local news source, two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle driven by 18-year-old Case Estorco of Patterson at the crossing for reasons still under an active investigation.
2 Struck and Injured by Vehicle at Haight and Ashbury Streets in Haight Ashbury
One of the two pedestrians, who was identified as a man in his 30s, sustained life-threatening injuries following the crash.
The second victim in his 20s suffered lesser serious wounds. Meanwhile, the names of the injured parties have not yet been released to this time.
It was not clear whether or not Estorco intentionally hit the pedestrians.
Estorco was also injured in the wreck, but officials confirmed that he is expected to survive.
Police arrested Estorco and booked him at County Jail on suspicion of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, driving under the influence, battery on a peace officer, hit and run, battery causing serious bodily injury and assault with a deadly weapon.
The accident remains under an active investigation.
