Garden Grove, CA: At Least 1 Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 22
1 Seriously Injured in Garden Grove Collision on Highway 22 near Garden Grove Boulevard

Garden Grove, California (April 27, 2021) – One person was sent to the hospital with severe injuries after a multi-vehicle accident that happened Monday afternoon in Garden Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP said the pileup was reported at around 5:00 p.m. on eastbound Highway 22 near Garden Grove Boulevard.
A blue Harley-Davidson motorcycle, a white Lexus and two other vehicles were involved in the collision.
A party reporting the accident told authorities that the motorcyclist was possibly stuck under one of the cars.
First responders found the motorcycle in the center divider and the Lexus blocking the HOV and No. 1 lanes.
At least one person was rushed to UCI Medical Center after sustaining major injuries in the accident, the report said.
The HOV and No. 1 lanes remained closed until at 6:14 p.m. following the accident.
CHP is investigating the incident.
