Gail Forte ID’d as Woman Killed in Lakeville Collision on Old Adobe Road near Stage Gulch Road

Lakeville, California (July 22, 2021) – The Sonoma County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau has identified the woman who died Wednesday afternoon following a three-vehicle collision in Lakeville as Gail Forte, 63, of Napa.
The deadly crash happened at around 4:39 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, on Old Adobe Road, just west of Stage Gulch Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A 78-year-old Sonoma man was driving a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck eastbound on Old Adobe Road when, for unknown reasons, he crashed into the back of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was also heading eastbound, the CHP reported.
The force of the impact pushed the Silverado into the westbound lane and collided head-on with an oncoming Chevrolet Volt compact car. The Volt sustained major damage upon the impact.

Forte who was riding as a passenger in the Volt was declared deceased at the scene.
Both drivers of the Volt and the Silverado were airlifted to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with major injuries. The driver of the Colorado was transported by land ambulance to the same hospital with minor injuries.
The collision prompted the officers to temporarily close Old Adobe Road for over three hours during the investigation. As of 8:00 p.m., the road was reopened.
