31-Year-Old Fremont Woman Killed in Oakland Pedestrian Crash on MacArthur Boulevard
Oakland, California (February 27, 2021) – A 31-year-old Fremont woman was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon in Oakland, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 3:25 p.m.in the 300 block of MacArthur Boulevard.
According to the police, a Nissan Maxima was headed eastbound on the roadway when it crossed the double yellow lines to get past the line of backed-up vehicles.
Unfortunately, the vehicle struck the woman. The woman and a co-worker were crossing MacArthur Boulevard from the south sidewalk to get to their vehicle that was parked along the northern side of the street.

Sadly, the 31-year-old Fremont woman sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
The involved driver fled the scene. Witnesses provided police with the vehicle’s license plate number, allowing police to track down the Nissan’s owner, a 35-year-old Berkeley resident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
