Oxnard, California (February 27, 2021) – The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the Oxnard victim who died following a bicycle accident early Thursday morning in Oxnard as 39-year-old Rojelio Minjarez.
The fatal crash took place on Channel Islands Boulevard west of J Street at about 4:25 a.m. February 25
A bicycle ridden by Minjarez was hit by a 2018 Ford transit van operated by a 51-year-old Oxnard man west on Channel Islands Boulevard for unknown reasons.
The Oxnard man stopped after striking the bicyclist and cooperated with the law enforcers.

Sadly, Minjarez died in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
