2 Injured in Fontana Crash on Cherry and Whittram Avenues

Fontana, California (February 9, 2020) – Two people were injured when a vehicle collided with a garbage truck in Fontana on Friday evening, according to the authorities.
The crash happened at Cherry and Whittram avenues just before 5:06 p.m. February 7.
According to the report, a Burrtec Waste garbage truck was involved in a crash with a white Chevy Silverado pickup. The garbage truck then collided with a traffic pole.

The driver of the garbage truck had to be extricated by the San Bernardino County Fire Department crews. The driver was then transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center with major injuries.
The other driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
Fuel and oil got spilled from the garbage truck and were contained by the firefighters.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the CHP.
