Florin, California (May 31, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after being struck by a hit-and-run driver Saturday afternoon at an intersection in Florin, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The collision happened at around 5:21 p.m. Saturday, May 29, at the intersection of Stockton Boulevard and Lindale Drive.

As per the CHP report, the pedestrian, only described as a female victim, was hit by a vehicle at the Florin intersection.

First responders arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian in the center median suffering from minor injuries. She was then taken to the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center. Her name and condition were not immediately disclosed.

The driver involved fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a blue-colored sedan and was last seen traveling northbound.

Police are still searching for the hit-and-run suspect.

The intersection of Boulevard and Lindale Drive was blocked following the wreck.

The accident remains under investigation.
