Sacramento, CA: Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 51 Results in Major Injuries
At Least 1 Severely Hurt in Sacramento Collision on Highway 51 near Marconi Avenue Off-Ramp

Sacramento, California (May 31, 2021) – At least one person was severely hurt in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Sunday night in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The pileup was reported at about 11:16 p.m. on southbound Highway 51, also known as Capital Freeway, near Marconi Avenue off-ramp.
Three vehicles, including a gas tanker, were involved in the accident. The tanker was blocking Nos. 2 and 3 lanes after the collision.
The report said at least one person was seriously injured in the crash. An ambulance was sent to the scene to provide medical aid to the patient.
The collision left southbound traffic closed at Marconi for an unknown period. All motorists were required to exit at Marconi.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
