Enrique Sanchez Seriously Hurt in Riverside County Crash on SR 79

Riverside County, California (February 25, 2020) – A tow truck driver was injured in an auto-pedestrian accident on Sunday morning in Riverside County, according to the CHP.
The crash happened at around 10:30 a.m. February 23, on SR-79 south of California Avenue.
According to the report, a CHP officer responded to a solo-vehicle rollover crash on southbound SR 79. The officer contacted a tow truck with the Statewide Towing to recover the overturned vehicle.
Enrique Ramirez Sanchez, 49, of Banning, the tow truck driver, responded to the incident and as he was outside recovering the overturned vehicle, a southbound white Toyota Corolla lost control and crashed into him and his truck.

Sanchez was transported to Riverside University Health Systems Hospital with major injuries.
No other injuries were reported.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the accident.
The crash is under investigation.
