Eliseo Ramirez Killed in Oxnard Bicycle Accident on South Rice Avenue
Eliseo Ramirez ID’d as Bicyclist Killed in Collision with Truck on South Rice Avenue and Fifth Street in Oxnard

Oxnard, California (February 2, 2021) – Authorities have identified the bicyclist who died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Oxnard as Eliseo Ramirez, 73, of Oxnard.
The deadly crash happened at about 8:13 a.m. on South Rice Avenue, just south of East Fifth Street, authorities reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Ramirez was riding his Schwinn bicycle along the right shoulder of Rice Avenue when, for an unknown reason, he drifted into the left lane and was struck by a 1999 black Dodge Ram driven by a 49-year-old Oxnard woman.
Deadly Bicycle Crash in Oxnard
Emergency personnel responded to the accident and pronounced Ramirez dead at the scene.
Authorities impounded the black truck as evidence. No arrest was made.
