10-Year-Old Girl Injured in El Centro Pedestrian Accident on W. Main St. near Sunflower Elementary School

El Centro, California (February 6, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and injured by a vehicle Monday afternoon in El Centro, police said.
The accident took place at around 2:30 p.m. Monday, February 4 in the area of 2370 W. Main St. near Sunflower Elementary School.
According to the police, the pedestrian, a 10-year-old girl, was hit by a white truck on W. Main Street for reasons still under investigation.
Firefighters along with paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the girl. She was then airlifted by REACH Air Ambulance Services to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
The name of the juvenile and her condition at this time remained unknown.
No further details were immediately provided.
The crash remains under investigation by the police.
