Man Killed in El Cajon Pedestrian Crash on Anza Street near Gray Drive
El Cajon, California (March 14, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Friday night traffic accident that killed a male pedestrian in El Cajon.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m., on March 12, on Anza Street near Gray Drive.
According to the officials, the male pedestrian was crossing the street when a gray Infiniti sedan that was speeding northbound struck him. He was crossing to enter his parked car at the time of the crash.
As a result of the collision, the male pedestrian was thrown about 180 feet into a yard. The Infiniti continued and crashed into a nearby parked van, the police said.

Sadly, the male pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. The driver was not suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
