North Hollywood, California (March 14, 2021) – Edgar Kocharya, 36, of North Hollywood, has been identified as one of the two parties who were killed in a Saturday evening traffic accident in North Hollywood, according to Los Angeles County coroner’s office.

The deadly accident occurred at about 6:30 p.m., on March 13, on Vineland Avenue near Oxnard Street.

According to the police, a gray 2005 Saturn ION was speeding southbound on Vineland Avenue when it lost control, crossed into northbound traffic, drove off the roadway and struck a pedestrian and parked vehicles.

Sadly, Kocharya, who was the pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Three people were freed from the vehicle and taken to trauma centers. Two others declined treatment after being evaluated at the scene. A woman who was a passenger in the car was later pronounced dead at an area trauma center.

The crash remains under investigation.
