East Village, California (April 13, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured by a vehicle Saturday night in the East Village neighborhood of the City of San Diego, according to a local news source.
The major injury pedestrian accident happened at about 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, at the intersection of Market Street and 14th Street.
Police said the pedestrian, a 59-year-old man, was crossing the street when he was hit by a 2003 Ford truck that was traveling westbound on Market Street.
The man was knocked to the ground upon the impact and suffered major head injuries. His name and current condition were not disclosed.
The 66-year-old man driving the truck remained at the scene after the accident.
