Bicyclist Critically Injured in Lafayette Crash at Pleasant Hill Road and Olympic Boulevard
Lafayette, California (April 13, 2021) – A bicyclist was critically injured after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday morning in Lafayette, according to a local news source.
Police said the accident happened at about 6:48 a.m. at the intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and Olympic Boulevard roundabout.
According to the authorities, the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle for an unknown reason at the intersection.
An off-duty nurse stopped at the scene and offered first aid treatment to the bicyclist until emergency personnel arrived. The victim was then transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The driver of the involved vehicle stopped at the scene and was cooperative, police said. No arrest was made.
Police closed a section of the roundabout following the crash.
