Motorcyclist Critically Injured in Desert Hot Springs Motorcycle Accident at Dillon Road and Atlantic Avenue
Desert Hot Springs, California (July 13, 2021) – A motorcyclist was critically injured in a Sunday night traffic collision at a Desert Hot Springs intersection, according to the Desert Hot Springs Police Department.
The major-injury crash happened at around 10:45 p.m. Sunday, July 11, at the intersection of Dillon Road and Atlantic Avenue.
Police said the motorcyclist was heading westbound on Dillon Road towards Atlantic Avenue when an eastbound Nissan Sentra turned in front of him.
The motorcyclist ultimately struck the Sentra on the front passenger side.
Desert Hot Springs Collision on Dillon Road
The male rider sustained major trauma to his body and was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in critical condition. His name has not been disclosed.
The 20-year-old Desert Hot Springs man driving the Sentra stopped at the scene and called 911. He was not hurt in the crash.
The area of Dillon Road and Atlantic Avenue was temporarily blocked while the investigation and cleanup took place.
No arrest has been made.
The crash remains under investigation.
