Farmersville, California (June 28, 2020) – A woman was killed and two other people were injured Friday night in an alleged DUI crash in Farmersville, according to a local news source.
The deadly wrong-way crash occurred at about 9:14 p.m. Friday, June 26, on Visalia Road, just west of Road 176.
Authorities said Delfino Santillan of Farmersville was driving a Honda Civic the wrong-way on Visalia Road when he crashed into a Toyota Camry.
The female driver of the Camry was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Santillan and his passenger were transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center with major injuries. They were not wearing seat belts when the accident happened.
Santillan was later arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs and felony gross vehicular manslaughter.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
