5 Injured, Davon Hamilton Arrested after San Francisco Crash at Divisadero and Hayes Streets

San Francisco, California (October 17, 2019) – A driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI following a multi-vehicle collision that occurred on Sunday night in San Francisco, according to police.
The crash, which happened just before 8 p.m. October 13, took place in the area of Divisadero and Hayes streets.
Police said Davon Hamilton, 24, of San Francisco was driving an SUV that rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 28-year-old man near the intersection. The SUV continued and later hit another SUV operated by a 50-year-old woman.
At the intersection of Divisadero and Hayes streets, authorities said Hamilton collided with a third vehicle which was being operated by a 70-year-old woman.
The 70-year-old driver was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The other two drivers and a juvenile in the 50-year-old woman’s vehicle were all transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hamilton was also hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police later arrested Hamilton on suspicion of DUI, speeding, failure to stop for a red light, reckless driving, and hit-and-run.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
