Costa Mesa, CA: Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Mesa Drive and Irvine Avenue
1 Killed in Costa Mesa Pedestrian Accident at Mesa Drive and Irvine Avenue
Costa Mesa, California (September 6, 2020) – A pedestrian walking a dog was hit and killed by a hit-and-run vehicle on Sunday morning in Costa Mesa, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 6:53 a.m. at the intersection of Mesa Drive and Irvine Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a car described as possibly a Toyota Camry or a Mitsubishi with a spoiler struck the pedestrian and the dog at the intersection in unclear circumstances.

Sadly, the pedestrian and the dog died at the scene.
The involved driver fled the scene and is being sought by the police.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
