Cathedral City, California (October 17, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized after a crash involving a bicylist on Wednesday morning in Cathedral City.

The incident, which was reported at about 9:30 a.m. October 16, took place in the area of Landau Boulevard and McCallum Way.

According to Cathedral City police, an 86-year-old woman driving a Honda may have experienced a medical issue when she collided with a bicyclist at the intersection.

The Honda, which was southbound on Landau Boulevard, continued on and eventually collided with another vehicle at Ramon Road.

2 Hospitalized after Cathedral City Bicycle Crash

The driver of the Honda was taken to a hospital for a checkup.

The bicyclist was injured in the crash and was also taken to the hospital.

The driver of the other involved vehicle was not hurt.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
