Brentwood, California (March 17, 2021) – A female party was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in an alleged hit-and-run pedestrian accident at an intersection in Brentwood Saturday morning.

The major injury crash took place in the area of Carmelina Avenue and Sunset Boulevard at about 10 a.m.

A vehicle traveling east on Sunset Boulevard hit the pedestrian while walking northbound on Carmelina Avenue.

The woman, who was reportedly crossing the intersection at the time of the crash, was knocked on the ground upon the impact.

Woman Hospitalized After Brentwood Collision

Paramedics rushed the female pedestrian to an area hospital for treatment of critical injuries.

Officials said the driver stopped briefly and then escaped the scene.
