Brandon LeMay Sr. ID’d as Driver Killed in Bakersfield Crash on Alfred Harrell Highway near Panorama Drive

Bakersfield, California (April 22, 2021) – The driver who died following an early Tuesday morning car crash in Bakersfield has been identified by the Kern County Coroner’s Office as Brandon Lewis LeMay Sr., 25.
The police were attempting a traffic stop on the northbound side of Fairfax Road on a white Chevy pickup truck at about 2:17 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, when the driver, LeMay Sr., failed to stop and drove to Panorama Drive.
The truck reportedly continued west of Mt. Vernon Avenue and then turned onto Alfred Harrell Highway, where LeMay Sr. lost control and rolled down a hillside.
As the vehicle was overturning, LeMay Sr. was ejecting and died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, the authorities said.
A female passenger in the vehicle was transported to Kern Medical with moderate injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
