66-Year-Old Man Suffers Major Injuries in Los Osos Bicycle Accident on Los Osos Valley Road near Sombrero Drive; Driver Arrested
Los Osos, California (October 6, 2020) – A bicyclist was injured Tuesday morning in a hit-and-run accident in Los Osos, according to a local news source.
Shortly before 11:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol officers received a report about the accident involving a bicyclist and a vehicle on Los Osos Valley Road near Sombrero Drive.
According to the CHP, a 66-year-old Los Osos man was riding his bicycle on Los Osos Valley Road when he was struck by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.

The bicyclist sustained major injuries, including a fractured leg, and was transported to a local hospital. His name and current condition were not disclosed.
The CHP said the hit-and-run driver later crashed at the Foothill Boulevard and Santa Rosa Avenue in San Luis Obispo. The suspect, only identified as a 49-year-old San Luis Obispo woman, was eventually arrested on suspicion of DUI and felony hit and run.
No further details about the crash were immediately provided.
