San Francisco, California (October 6, 2020) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver early Friday morning in San Francisco, according to authorities.
The deadly hit-and-run accident happened at about 4:51 a.m. Friday, October 2, near Cesar Chavez Street and Evans Avenue.
Authorities said the pedestrian, only identified as a female victim, was in the street when she was hit by a vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver involved did not stop to render aid to the pedestrian and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or the driver.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
