Bella Vista, California (July 27, 2021) – Six people were injured, several of them seriously, in a two-vehicle collision that happened Tuesday morning in Bella Vista, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP said the wreck took place at about 10:53 a.m. on Highway 299 near Ingot.

Two vehicles of unknown make and model collided under unclear circumstances, blocking the roadway.

The Shasta Area Safety Communications Agency (SHASCOM) dispatched firefighters and paramedics to the scene immediately after receiving reports about the crash.

The CHP report said six patients were injured, several of them seriously in the accident. Information about the identities and conditions of the patients, as well as the hospitals they were transported to for treatment, was not available.

Authorities are investigating to establish the cause of the crash.
