Austin Miller Dies after Shasta Wrong-Way Accident on 5 Freeway near Lakeland

Shasta, California (September 19, 2019) – 29-year-old Austin Lee Miller of Weed has been identified as the person killed after a wrong-way traffic crash Friday last week in Shasta, according to authorities.
The collision happened on Friday, September 13, on 5 Freeway, near Lakeland.
As per the CHP officials, Mr. Miller and a female passenger were traveling on 5 Freeway when his car was hit by a 1992 Ford truck that was heading the wrong way on the freeway.
Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on 5 Freeway in Shasta
Mr. Miller and his passenger, 30-year-old woman, suffered severe injuries and subsequently died.
Officials arrested the suspect driver on suspicion of DUI. Illegal guns and illegal marijuana grow were found at the suspect’s home after a police search.
