Fresno, California (March 27, 2021) – Police have identified the woman who died Friday, one day after a motorcycle accident in Fresno as Amee Van, 25, of Fresno.

The deadly crash occurred shortly before 11:00 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at the intersection of Maple and Harvey avenues, near Highway 180.

According to the authorities, Van was riding her motorcycle on Harvey Avenue when she was struck by a Chevy Tahoe that was headed down Maple Avenue.

Van was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition.

On Friday morning, Van’s condition deteriorated, and she succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

The Tahoe driver stopped at the scene and was cooperative, authorities said. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
