Goleta, California (September 18, 2019) – A San Luis Obispo woman succumbed to the injuries sustained in a traffic collision that occurred last Tuesday afternoon in the area of Goleta, according to a local news source.

The collision happened at around 1:35 p.m. September 10, on Highway 101 west of Goleta.

As per the CHP, a white Ford F-350 making a left turn from Highway 101 onto Las Varas Canyon Road was struck by a silver Toyota Tundra that was traveling southbound. Due to the impact, both vehicles ended up in a ditch, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Allyson Buist, 35, of San Luis Obispo, was a passenger in the Toyota. She was taken to Santa Barbara Cottage  Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased five days later. The male driver of the Toyota Tundra sustained minor injuries. A male infant in the Tundra suffered moderate injuries.

The male driver of the Ford was treated at the scene, but his male passenger suffered serious injuries following the wreck.

The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
