2 Injured in Car Accident on Avenue 232 near Road 68 in Visalia
Visalia, California (March 24, 2021) – Two people were seriously injured in a car accident that happened in Visalia on Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 4:55 a.m. on Avenue 232 west of Road 68.
The police said Armando Gonzalez was driving a 2015 International Tanker eastbound on Avenue 232 when he slowed down near the intersection, waiting to turn southbound onto Road 68.
At the same time, 38-year-old Alina Ramirez, of Lemoore, was driving a 2018 Hyundai Sonata behind the truck.
Ramirez reportedly failed to slow down and rear-ended the truck.
The authorities said Ramirez and her right-front passenger sustained major injuries in the crash and were transported to Kaweah Delta Medical Center for treatment.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
