Ali Modan ID’d as Teenager Killed in Los Altos Hills Car Accident on Interstate Highway 280 near Magdalena Road
Los Altos Hills, California (August 19, 2020) – Authorities have identified the teenager who died in a traffic accident Sunday evening in Los Altos Hills as Ali Modan, 17, of San Rafael.
The deadly collision was reported shortly before 5:00 p.m.Sunday, August 16, on northbound Interstate 280, just south of Magdalena Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 2006 Toyota Sienna, was traveling in the northbound lane of the interstate when, for unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway and slammed into several trees. The vehicle then rolled over.
First responders arrived at the scene and located the Toyota with seven occupants.

Modan, who was riding as a passenger in the Toyota, was declared dead at the scene. Six other victims were transported to area hospitals, two with minor injuries, two with moderate injuries and two with major injuries.
It still unclear whether alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
Further details about the accident were not immediately provided.
Meanwhile, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
