5 Injured in Alhambra Car Accident at East Beacon Street and South Chapel Avenue

Alhambra, California (September 6, 2019) – As many as five people were hurt in a traffic collision in the area of Alhambra on Thursday afternoon.
The collision happened at around 2:15 p.m. September 5, in the area of East Beacon Street and South Chapel Avenue.
A local news source reported that Alhambra police were chasing three men in their early to mid-20s suspected of breaking into a home. When the suspects reportedly approached the intersection, they ran a stop sign and slammed into the side of a minivan. Due to the impact, the van plowed into a residential building.

The occupants in the minivan were attended to by paramedics who arrived at the scene shortly after the collision. The initial report indicated that an elderly woman and man in the van were transported to the hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The suspects suffered injuries in the crash, and they received medical care before being arrested.
