Motorcyclist Killed, 3 Orange Firefighters Injured in Orange Motorcycle Crash at Collins Avenue and Roberto Street

Orange, California (June 6, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed and three firefighters were injured Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident involving a fire engine in Orange, according to a local news source.
The deadly motorcycle accident was reported at around 4:41 p.m. Wednesday, June 5 near the intersection of Collins Avenue and Roberto Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an Orange Fire Department truck collided with a motorcycle for an unknown reason near the Orange intersection.

The motorcyclist was taken to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
Three Orange firefighters were also taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Eastbound lanes of Collins Avenue and northbound lanes of Prospect Street were closed as crews worked at the scene. As of 9:00 p.m. the roads were reopened.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the accident.
