86-Year-Old Marie Alfano Killed in Palm Springs Car Accident at Burton Way and Alejo Road

Palm Springs, California (June 6, 2019) – 86-year-old Marie Alfano of Palm Springs has been identified as the victim killed in a traffic collision in Palm Springs Wednesday morning, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
The accident occurred at about 11:49 a.m. June 5, at Burton Way and Alejo Road.
The crash happened when a white Toyota Corolla sedan collided with a silver Nissan Titan pickup truck at the intersection for unknown reasons.
The collision resulted in the death of the two drivers. Both victims were taken to Desert Regional Medical Center for medication. Alfano was later pronounced dead due to her injuries.
The E Alejo Road was closed down for around seven hours as the police conducted the investigation.
The crash remains under an active investigation.
