Jamul, California (March 4, 2021) – Two people sustained serious injuries Thursday morning following a head-on collision in Jamul, according to a local news source.
The California Highway Patrol said the major injury collision occurred just before 5:30 a.m. on State Route 94, just south of Vista Sage Lane.
A 1999 Honda Civic, driven by a 20-year-old Chula Vista man, was heading westbound on State Route 94 when, for unknown reasons, it drifted into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a 2017 Subaru WRX driven by a 22-year-old San Diego man.
The two vehicles sustained major front end damage. The impact of the collision ejected the Honda’s engine.

Both drivers were transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego with major injuries. Their names and condition were not immediately disclosed.
