2 Injured in Sonoma County Crash on State Highway 12 near Irwin Lane

Sonoma County, California (June 25, 2021) – Two people sustained injuries in a hit-and-run collision on State Highway 12 near Irwin Lane in Sonoma County on Thursday night, according to the authorities.
The incident happened just before 10:45 p.m. June 24.
Authorities said the Lyft driver, a 43-year-old El Verano man, was driving a 2021 Toyota Prius west on State Route 12 when he was rear-ended by a gray Acura sedan.
The driver of the Acura sedan fled from the scene after the accident.

The driver of the Lyft was taken to Kaiser-Santa Rosa with minor injuries. A passenger in the Lyft, a 30-year-old Sebastopol woman, also sustained minor injuries and was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.
Authorities said the suspect was driving a vehicle believed to be a gray 2009-2010 Acura TSX four-door Acura sedan.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
