1 Killed in Car Accident on 80 Freeway near Soda Springs Road in Soda Springs
Soda Springs, California (November 13, 2020) – At least one person was killed in a single-vehicle collision that happened on Thursday morning near Soda Springs, Nevada County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Interstate 80 Freeway near Soda Springs Road at about 5 a.m. November 12.
The authorities said a vehicle was traveling westbound on the freeway approaching Soda Springs when the driver lost control and overturned.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and struck a large stone.
The unidentified driver was killed in the accident.
The authorities said there were no passengers in the vehicle.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
